The facilities at the Thorndon Tennis and Squash Club offer fabulous client-relationship building and team-building opportunities to all organisations from corporates to small businesses. As we have complete flexibility in the way the facilities can be used, we can meet your needs whether you require our complete service or the option of arranging many of the aspects of your function yourself.

Excellent, well maintained sporting facilities
These consist of five tennis courts - two of which are grass, and four squash courts in a private, enclosed, park-like setting, with floodlights for evening tennis. These can be hired for exclusive use by a large organisation or for partial use by smaller businesses. The flood lighting allows you to have late afternoon and early evening functions at any time of the year. This is an attractive option for clients and/or staff with monthly targets to achieve.
A clubhouse with flexible spaces and decks
 The upstairs indoor and outdoor spaces, which are attractive areas for socialising, can be used in conjunction with a sports tournament. In addition, the bar and kitchen, plus extras such as the barbeque, allow you to have any type and size of function for clients or for staff. The venue also works well for functions without any sporting activity such as Christmas Functions, Team Building, Offsite Meetings, Family Reunions, Themed Parties, etc.
A professional coach and assistance in organising a tournament 
Our resident coach is available to provide pre-function coaching to both staff and clients. This guarantees a more enjoyable function. We are also able to assist in the organisation and running of a tournament, including the umpiring of games and the supply of balls and some racquets. This leaves you free to entertain your guests or to spend the maximum amount of time in building those team relationships.
Meeting and Function Room space
With full kitchen available and boardroom sized facilities this space sits next to the Bar and overlooks the beautiful grass courts. Fantastic natural light from the full length windows make this a very inviting and relaxing space.
Cost effective catering options
 We can arrange a caterer and refreshments, liquor supplies, bar staff and cleaner, or you can use your preferred caterer.
