Squash Business House Is Back for 2012

Business House starts on the 20th February 2012. Business House will be on Monday nights, so that it does not interfere with local tournaments. There are limited places, so get your team of at least four players (we recommend an additional one or two reserves as well) together. You can register your team online here.

NEW Intraclub Squash Competition Announced

The new 2012 season is fast approaching and there are a number of changes to not only the squash calendar but also to the way we want to improve things at the club. You can register online here.

In spring last year some of the women played an intra club competition and the feedback from members was positive. Given that autumn interclub will not start until early March, I would like to run an intra-club competition from 21 Feb, for both men and women (mixed teams 3 men & 2 women, reserves will rotate as & when required); we will have 6-8 teams depending on the final number of registered players.

Whilst this will mean that there will be limited entries for autumn interclub it will mean that members will not have to travel each week, members will get to know other members better & the club will benefit more from increased and better membership participation.

Autum Squash Interclub

If you would rather play Autum Interclub rather than the Thorndon intraclub compentition you can. Players can still play Autum Interclub instead if they wish. Please note however, that you won't be able to play both. Please register online here.

New Club Shirts

This year the club will be asking ALL players representing Thorndon at interclub, regional & national level in teams or individual events to wear the club shirts (maroon/gold), shirts can purchased from the office at a very reasonable price. They are fantastically retro and they'll build a great recognisable Thorndon Club brand.

Squash Tournaments in 2012

Thorndon will host 3 graded tournaments in 2012, Masters (35+); Open & B grade (all tournaments are open to men, women & juniors afilliated to squash) with the Marsters as our first tournament. Whilst we are waiting for confirmation from DB I am confident they will once again provide the club with a good sponsorship deal.
