The Thorndon Club Sports Library is a resource for use by all club members. Just like any library items can be borrowed via a booking system.
It consists of many CD’s, DVD’s and magazines for both Tennis and Squash. Mainly Match’s at this stage but also training and coaching tips.
Currently it is located in the Coach, Andy’s office. It started a few months ago and has been effectively used by mainly Squash players as the content is currently more Squash than Tennis.
There is a book out/book in system in place (the book on the shelf) and it’s available to everyone.
We are looking for much more content and a new location. All donations gratefully accepted, especially Tennis and Table Tennis items. Contact the Club Administrator.
For the Squash afficianado's, you really must watch the 2008 Men's British Open Final. Willstrop and Palmer put in one of the most talked about and viewed matches in the history of Squash. Simply unbelievable! And to see what a 'perfect' squash player looks like and how they play have a look at the Nicol David vs Shelley Kitchen match. The World Champion, Nicol, is Squash poetry in motion.
