Thorndon Club’s Squash Box League is a social competition which pits 4 or 5 players of similar skill levels against each other. It is designed to meet the needs of today’s busy lifestyles, especially in a Central Business District. No interclub pressure, no weekends out for a tournament, just pure fun within your own schedule.

The Thorndon Squash League is a box format league. Every month, a new draw is made giving a new list of players for each box. It is left up to the players to arrange the individual matches, decide what scoring system is used, e.g. British, Rally Per Point, 9 points, 15 points, 11 points, etc and to record the result. To accomodate the Box League, all courts on Friday nights from 5:30 to 6:30 are available for Box League matches. A great time to blow out the week with some Squash activity, some social interaction up in the Bar with Sky Sports and maybe even a meal with Mel.

This is the second biggest and definitely the best squash league in the Wellington region. This is the best place to meet squash enthusiasts and CBD sports enthusiasts.
